Lexus PH updates UX, unveils new RZ

MANILA: Lexus expanded its electrified vehicle lineup in the Philippines with the introduction of the new RZ and updated UX.

In a statement, the Japanese premium automaker’s arm in the country shared that the improvements that can be found on the two models highlights its “commitment to continuously refining its products through meaningful enhancements that elevate luxury, technology, convenience, and driving performance.”

Here’s what you need to know about the two newly-introduced offerings.

New RZ

On the other hand, the new Lexus RZ has received the most significant update to the brand’s first fully electric model since its introduction in 2023.

In line with the enhancement of its roster, the current RZ grades will be repositioned, with the RZ 300e becoming the RZ 350e and the RZ 450e evolving into the RZ 500e. 

They will carry the following price tags:

Meanwhile, Lexus Philippines also brought in the RZ 600e F Sport Performance, a dynamic and performance-focused expression of Lexus electrification, but will not be available for retail sale in the Philippines This model will join the Lexus Philippines’ local collection alongside with the LFA, GS F, and RC F displayed at a special portion of the Lexus Manila Gallery.

The new Lexus RZ is fitted with a 74.69-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery—replacing the previous 71.4-kWh unit. Combined with improvements in efficiency and vehicle systems, the RZ 500e can cover 460b kilometers of driving range based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Cycle standards.

Aside from that, the vehicle has adopted a 22-kilowatt alternate current charging system, doubling the previous capability while maintaining CCS2 compatibility for direct current charging.

Moreover, the new Lexus RZ 500e’s total system output grew from 309 horsepower to 375 hp.

Other creature comforts that can be found in the vehicle are:

• Digital inside rear-view mirror
• Puddle lamps integrated into the exterior door handles
• Enhanced interior trim treatments
• Rear seat reminder system with door logic functionality
• Additional refinements to the panoramic roof

New UX

The enhanced Lexus UX—particularly the 300h F Sport option—received a two-tone exterior treatment, and the addition of moonroof and black roof rails, as well as the enhanced side mirror functionality and body-colored wheel arch moldings.

Inside, the model now has wireless charging docks, a Panoramic View Monitor, and a multi-illumination entry system.

Per Lexus Philippines, the enhancements further strengthen the UX's position as an ideal daily driver for modern urban living, seamlessly combining hybrid efficiency, premium craftsmanship, and advanced technology in a compact luxury crossover. 

The new Lexus UX can be had at the following prices:
