LTO eyes to make LTMS fully operational by end of the month

MANILA: The Land Transportation Office aims to fully implement the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) by the end of October.

The LTMS is a digital platform through which the public can make online transactions of LTO services. It seeks to integrate all the services provided by the agency through a single contactless database system.

According to LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II, a technical working group will be formed to ensure that the LTMS will be fully operational by this month.

“Itong Technical Working Group na ito, isa lang talaga ang pakay nito, to make sure na kung ano man ang problema pa natin dito sa ating computer program na LTMS eh sana matapos na ‘no (This Technical Working Group will only have one goal, to make sure that whatever issues we still have with our LTMS computer program will be over),” Mendoza stated.

The LTO chief said that he already met with regional directors and district officers to talk about his goal of entirely switching to the use of LTMS when delivering service to the public.

Since taking over the LTO, Mendoza has committed to digitize the services in order to offer efficient services to the Filipinos.
