Maserati Grecale GT launched in Malaysia

MANILA: Following the launch of the 2023 Maserati Levante GT Hybrid in Malaysia last month, Naza Italia, the official distributor of Maserati cars in Malaysia, has also brought in the 2023 Maserati Grecale GT.

The Maserati Grecale GT, which is positioned below its larger Levante sibling, is named after the Gregale, a strong Mediterranean wind that blows from the northeast.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT delivers performance, comfort, and safety all at once by striking the perfect balance between versatility, aesthetics, and innovation. These qualities give the 2023 Maserati Grecale GT an uncompromised off-road performance. The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT is developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena, Italy and manufactured at the Cassino plant.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT measures 4,846mm long, 1,948mm wide, and 1,670mm high. It is designed with a 2,901mm wheelbase.

The Maserati Grecale GT is bigger in every aspect than its German rival, the Porsche Macan.

Maserati's new visual symbol, which has distinguished each new model since the Maserati MC20, is incorporated in the Maserati Grecale's design. The grille is low and commanding. The profile is remarkable for its contrast between simplicity and precision, with a highly fluid body that has meandering, aesthetically pleasing contours and its technical components accentuated by the use of carbon fiber. The Giugiaro 3200 GT-inspired boomerang tail lights blend in with the trapezoidal line at the rear and add to the overall dramatic look, which is further enhanced by the cabin's coupe look and sports car-inspired finish.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT has several best-in-class features, thanks to the work of Maserati's designers and engineers. The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT has a luxurious interior made up of the finest wood, carbon fiber, and leather combinations, as well as ample interior space, drivability, and handling.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT is also equipped with a number of high-tech features designed to make the driving experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. These features include a digital clock with G-force meter, compass, and built-in visual response capability; a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster; a 12.3-inch central touchscreen above an 8.8-inch touchscreen linked to Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) multimedia system; Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Maserati Connect telematics system; rear touchscreen for three-zone climate control; and 21-speaker Sonus faber 3D sound system.

The Malaysia-spec 2023 Maserati Grecale GT comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 300ps at 5,750rpm and a maximum torque of 450Nm from 2,000rpm to 4,000 rpm.

The engine works together with a 48V mild hybrid system with a belt starter generator, an eBooster, a battery, and a DC/DC converter.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT has an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It can go from a standstill to 100kph in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 240kph.

Its front brake discs measure 350mm at the front with four-piston calipers, while the rear brake discs measure 330mm with single-piston calipers.

The suspension of the 2023 Maserati Grecale GT features a double wishbone setup up front and a multi-link system at the rear, with available adaptive Skyhook system and air suspension.

Drivers of the 2023 Maserati Grecale GT can choose among four drive modes: Comfort, GT, Sport, and Off-Road.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT also comes standard with Vehicle Dynamic Control Module (VDCM), an evolution of the Chassis Domain Control Module from the Maserati MC20 that regulates all vehicle dynamics with accurate timing and targets.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT is available in four exterior colors: Bronzo Opaco, Blu Intenso, Bianco Astro, and Bianco.

The 2023 Maserati Grecale GT is priced at RM598,000 (approximately P7.3 million).
