MIAS 2024: Repsol motor oil now available in 7-liter packaging

MANILA: Repsol has launched the country’s first and only seven-liter packaging for lubricants.

Unveiled during the third day of the Manila International Auto Show 2024, the latest product is eyed to “revolutionize the way motor oil is purchased.” The goal, the company said, is to improve convenience and deliver superior performance with each use.

In an interview, Repsol Philippines Sales and Marketing Director Darlyn Valenzona told Zigwheels Philippines that the new packaging would also be a more affordable choice than having the one-liter option.

According to her, customers would save as much as P20 per liter should they opt for the seven-liter product.

Below are the products that are offered in the new seven-liter packaging:

• Repsol Leader CI-4 10W30: a semi-synthetic engine oil that provides optimum performance for diesel engines. The aforementioned lubricant is developed for mills with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and turbocharged diesel powertrains.

Rated ACEA E7/E5 and API CI-4/CH-4/SL, the oil is specially made for four-wheel drive pickup trucks, multi-purpose vehicles, and sport utility vehicles (SUV).

• - Repsol Giant 5510 15W40 CI-4: rated ACEA E7 and API CI-4, the multi-grade top high performance diesel lubricant are engineered to meet the needs of new-generation engines and claims that it can outperform super high performance diesel oils.

Recommended for Euro IV-compliant engines, vans, light trucks, and older SUV models.

• - Repsol Leader NEO 0W20: a fully-synthetic oil for gasoline engine vehicles, the said product guarantees fuel economy and reduces carbon dioxide emissions.

Rated API SP/SN PLUS/SN/SM, ILSAC GF-6A, the product is suitable for hybrid vehicles too.

In a statement, the company said that the redesigning of the packaging reaffirms its commitment to sustainability — using recycled materials whenever possible to contribute to a circular economy. The initiative, it added, highlights Repsol's dedication to greater sustainability across the entire value chain.
