MIAS 2026: Radar RD6, makes first PH motorshow debut in 8 pictures

MANILA: After being launched in the Philippines late last year, the Radar RD6 Pickup makes its motorshow debut at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026.

The United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI)-led automotive distributor brought the pickup truck in its bid to redefine the segment with its blend of power, comfort, and utility.

Displayed at the “UAAGI West Wing,” the Radar EV’s local arm gave the public the opportunity to experience the modern utility vehicle. It will be showcased starting today until April 12 at the World Trade Center in Pasay.

Available in two distinct powertrains (pure electric and plug-in hybrid), the Radar RD6 is ready to cater to the diverse needs of the market.

The Radar RD6 Econ is the nameplate’s battery electric-powered trim that is engineered for everyday use that offers an emissions-free range of up to 443 kilometers through 63- and 73-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery options. its electric motors can dish out:

Maximum output (in horsepower [hp>)	242
Peak torque (in Newton-meters [Nm>)	485

On the other hand, the Radar RD6 EM-P 4WD is meant to push the vehicle to its peak without compromise. Its pure-electric range can go up 82 kilometers but with a full charge battery and a tank full of fuel, it can cover more than 1,000 kilometers — eliminating range anxiety.

Further, the PHEV option’s powertrain can deliver:

Both trims support a one-ton payload capacity and boast a 225-millimeter (mm) ground clearance and 815-mm wading depth. Complementing this is the class-leading 1,765-mm bed length of the Econ 73kWh 2WD option.

While tough, the Radar RD6 ensures comfort with unibody construction (instead of the usual body-on-frame) — a first for the local pickup segment.

Inside, the vehicle’s EM-P variations are fitted with 14.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and ventilated rear seats.

Moreover, the vehicle has a vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, which allows the vehicle to serve as a mobile power source. Juicing up the Radar RD6 is done using the GB/T fast-charging system, which can be completed in as fast as 30 minutes.
