In a statement, Michelin Philippines Country Lead Daesy Natalya said, “At Michelin, we never stop innovating to enable people to move around more freely, safely; and to live a better life in motion. The new Michelin LTX Trail serves as the perfect fit for consumers, who own a pickup or SUV and whose lifestyle demands the ability to reach on- and off-road destinations, for work or pleasure. This tire is designed for multi-purpose use, 80% on-road and 20% off-road driving. It gives drivers a safe and comfortable ride on the road, and still being able to take them off the road when needed; and has the ability to handle different types of terrain — ranging from city commuting, wet road, highway driving, to light and moderate off-road. Michelin LTX Trail is a great match for the increasing popularity of SUVs, which is projected to grow 5.6% year-on-year, from 2021 to 2026. It is suitable for both 4x2 and 4x4 high-rise pickups, and SUVs — such as the Toyota Hilux, Toyota Fortuner, and Nissan Navara.”
The Michelin LTX Trail tire can attain 41% more mileage, thanks to the RallyForce2 Tread Compound which provides greater robustness and maximum service life for both on- and off-road use and a new tread design with the so-called Biting Shoulder which wraps from the tread down the sidewall to prevent sidewall aggression and deliver better off-road performance and traction.
The tire’s Variable Thickness Sipes provide improved contact patch for better handling, grip, and braking performance, ensuring long-lasting safety, even when worn. On wet roads, the Michelin LTX Trail stops 3.1m shorter when new and 4.60m shorter when worn compared to its competitors. On dry roads, the tire stops 3.8m shorter when new.
Because of the Duo-Harmony Blocks in the tread’s center, which disperse the pattern noise energy across a wider spectrum, the tire delivers 19.8% lower sound pressure level.
The Michelin LTX trail comes in 15 sizes, with rim dimensions ranging from 15 to 18 in. It is now available at all Michelin authorized tire dealers nationwide.
