myToyota Shuttle app helps to serve Furukawa Automotive's 10,000 employees

MANILA: Companies will now have an easier time in booking transportation online with the myToyota Shuttle PH app of Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), which saw a refresh in its interface. 

Powered by SWAT Mobility, the system provides companies and their employees a reliable shuttle service to and from work. The app is available on Google Play and Apple App stores. 

Available since May 2020, the service was previously called the On-Demand Shuttle. TMP said the refresh and renaming keeps with Toyota's kaizen philosophy, which translates to continuous improvement. 

The myToyota Shuttle app can automatically prepare a route to streamline employees’ ride-booking process. With its real-time tracking system, the app also helps operators monitor the location of shuttle vehicles in one digital monitoring system.

MyToyota Shuttle can also be used for a company's official business trips, and features two routing types: dynamic and fixed.

Dynamic routing is applicable for constantly changing work schedule arrangements, varying passenger count per trip, and when passengers have close door-to-door pick-up and drop-off points. Fixed routing is suitable for pre-defined work schedules, routes, and shared drop-off points.

This September, TMP launched the myToyota Shuttle app for Furukawa Automotive Systems Lipa Philippines, Inc., a Japanese manufacturing firm based in Batangas with almost 10,000 employees.

The service provided automated booking process for Furukawa’s large-scale shuttle operations, involving around 200 outsourced buses and vans serving both day shift and night shift employees.

"With this automated shuttle booking system, employees are ensured of safety and convenience when travelling to and from work, proving how serious Furukawa is in taking care of their employees by prioritizing their health and safety," TMP said.
