Commendable performance
Per the Singapore-headquartered tire company, its next-generation ultra-high-performance model was tested on a BMW 5 Series in size 245/45R19.
Against a field of 50 tires that were tested based on braking performance in wet conditions (from 80 kilometers per hour [kph>) and dry conditions (from 100 kph) with a total distance of 42.5 meters, the GitiSport S2+ was initially joint fourth.
In the final 20, it continued to perform at the highest level across 12 further independent tests to take its place among the top five, otherwise dominated by premium manufacturers.
The GitiSport S2+ is initially made available in 19 sizes with rims from 17-20 inches, section widths from 225-255, and series sizes from 35-55.

Meanwhile, braking distance on dry roads is reduced by two percent.
On that note, the GitiSport S2+ achieves the maximum EU Wet Grip label rating of A.
“The target criteria for the GitiSport S2+ were to deliver further improvements in dynamic driving, enhanced control on wet roads with precise and exciting control on dry roads, all while maintaining the mileage and energy efficiency of the previous generation,” explained Pecci-Boriani.
“Sportiveness is at the heart of the tire with a particularly stiff design that contributes to stability at high speeds as well as in cornering. The increased grip performance is more precise, firm, predictable, and constant,” he noted.
EV-ready
Giti Tires stated that the GitiSport S2+ carries the AdvanZtech EV Ready logo on its sidewall, which means that it can be used not only for cars powered by internal combustion engines, but also those propelled by mild and plug-in hybrid as well as battery electric systems.
