Nissan PH, Habitat for Humanity give away hygiene kits in Pasig
MANILA: As part of its community outreach programs, Nissan Philippines teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Philippines to give out hygiene and sanitation kits to the residents of the Pasig 1 Habitat Housing Project at Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
According to Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima, “Engaging communities through programs like this is one way for Nissan to stay true to our commitment to enrich people’s lives. We are grateful that our long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity has helped us address the need of these communities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by promoting hygienic and sanitary practices.”
Najima was joined by Pasig 1 Habitat Housing Project Homeowners Association Head Boni Florece, Habitat for Humanity Chief Operating Officer Lili Fuentes and Chief Development Officer Lala Baldelovar.
The car manufacturing company aims to encourage and educate the Filipino people with proper health and safety practices to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Aside from this recent activity, Nissan had also conducted several corporate social responsibility programs this year including its donation of three Nissan Navara units to the Philippine Red Cross in connection with the eruption of the Taal Volcano in February. They also distributed free meals to medical frontliners within Metro Manila who were working tirelessly to fight the ongoing pandemic. In November, they also had relief operations for the victims of Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ulysses.
