Avatr officially enters PH market

MANILA: More and more Changan brands are entering the Philippines as Avatr has just joined the local automotive scene.

Avatr has formally joined the fray after the Changan-Huawei joint venture forged a distributor agreement with Autowise Ventures Incorporated (Auto Icon Group).

In a statement, the multi-brand dealer chain  shared that the latest development marked a significant milestone for both companies which are “united by a shared vision of delivering luxury, smart, and  sustainable mobility solutions to the Philippine market.”

“The Philippine-market is gaining a strong momentum in the new energy vehicle segment as  buyers become increasingly aware of and open to alternative mobility solutions. Avatr is here to introduce and elevate the experience of what luxury mobility should be,” Changan Auto Group Vice President Guan  Xin said.

Avatr is poised to make its official Philippine debut in the third quarter of this year,  supported by full-service dealerships strategically located in Alabang and Bonifacio Global  City.

This follows Deepal's entry to the Philippines under the distributorship of Autohub Group of Companies.

Further, the brand’s newly-appointed local arm is set to introduce its luxury electric roster—starting with Avatr 11, Avatr 12, and Avatr 07.

 The Avatr 11 is a luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) powered by dual motors that can produce up to 578 horsepower—capable of accelerating from 0–100 kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Avatr 12 is a luxury executive sedan that boasts the marque’s  advanced 4D Intelligent Cockpit.

Also expected to join the lineup is the Avatr 07—the brand’s urban SUV and the first  Avatr model to offer both Pure Electric (BEV) and Extended Range (REEV) powertrains.
