Changan reaches 30-M production milestone

MANILA: China Changan Automobile Group has recently rolled off its 30-millionth vehicle out of its production line.

In a statement, the firm noted that the achievement signals its “evolution into a global intelligent mobility technology company.”

"Changan remains committed to delivering smarter, greener, and more fulfilling mobility, meeting the aspirations of global users for a better future,” China Changan Automobile Group Chair Zhu Huarong was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Changan is eyeing to rank among the world's top 10 automotive brands with annual sales of five million units — 60 percent of which is expected to be under new energy vehicles and 30 percent to come from overseas markets.

Further, it is also expanding the boundaries of mobility by actively developing humanoid robots for 2028.

Changan in PH

Locally, Changan vehicles is currently distributed by Inchcape Philippines and offers a total an array of 11 models.

Early this year, the company launched four nameplates under the Nevo line made up of:

• Lumin
• A05
• Q05
• Hunter K50

Per Changan, the said models boast the longest range in their respective classes.

Aside from the electrified roster, Changan Philippines also has internal combustion engine-propelled offerings:

• Alsvin
• CS15
• CS35 Plus
• CS55 Plus
• X7 Plus
• Uni-T
• Uni-K

Recently, Changan Philippines Head of Sales Arlan Antonio Reyes Jr. bared that the brand would bring in at least three vehicles in the market.

While Inchcape Philippines has yet to confirm, Zigwheels Philippines has a hunch that these offerings will come from Avatr and Deepal sub brands.
