Suzuki Dzire Hybrid, Fronx Hybrid get stellar fuel economy ratings at DOE-Petron eco-run

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has posted impressive fuel economy numbers at the recently concluded Department of Energy (DOE)-Petron Fuel Economy Run.

In a statement, the Japanese automaker’s arm in the country said that the Dzire Hybrid got a 36.10 kilometers per liter of gasoline equivalent (km/Lge) score while the Fronx Hybrid SGX AT trim had 24.69 km/Lge — based on the results from the energy department's readings.   

“These results affirm Suzuki’s philosophy of delivering practical and efficient vehicles that respond to real-world driving conditions,” SPH Director and General Manager of the Automobile Division Norihide Takei said.

“The DOE Fuel Eco-Run is an important platform that objectively measures fuel efficiency, and we are proud that both the Dzire Hybrid and the Fronx Hybrid demonstrated strong performance under standardized testing.”

Further, Takei said that “fuel efficiency is not just about savings but sustainability and responsible mobility. “

“Through models like the Dzire Hybrid and Fronx Hybrid, Suzuki continues to support the government’s efforts toward energy conservation while providing Filipinos with reliable, economical vehicles they can depend on every day.”

Meanwhile, the company expressed its appreciation to the DOE for recognizing the brand’s participation and support in promoting energy-efficient transportation.

Conducted last September at the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX), the DOE-Petron Fuel Eco-Run aims to promote fuel efficiency awareness among motorists and encourage automotive manufacturers to develop vehicles that help reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

To recall, the subcompact sedan had 29.73 kilometers per liter at the Automobile Association Philippines-sanctioned test run in May 2025.

Also, it comes in two variants namely GL and GLX with the following colors and price tags:

On the other hand, the crossover was formally launched in September 2025 after being previewed at the  at the Suzuki Matsuri festival.
