The Deepal S05 BEV retails at P1.588 million.
  • How much horsepower and torque can Deepal S05 REEV produce?

Deepal S05 REEV can produce up to 215 horsepower and 320 Newton-meters of torque.
  • During the brand’s grand launch, the company highlighted its initial lineup of cars, which includes the S05 battery electric vehicle (BEV) and range extended electric vehicle (REEV), as well as the G318 REEV.

Both S05 variants are compact crossovers, whereas the G318 REEV is a midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV) that the brand says was purpose-built for off-road use.

“Today is an ultra-special day. For Autohub, it's been 27 years of serving our customers with passion and innovation that inspires. We are electrified to officially welcome Deepal to the Philippines,” Autohub Group of Companies President and Founder Willy Tee Ten said.

“This is more than just a brand launch; it is the start of a new era in mobility, and more,” Tee Ten added.

For now, the brand has yet to disclose the full specifications and features of the three models, but the S05 REEV’s single motor and 1.5-liter gasoline engine was stated to be capable of producing up to 215 horsepower (hp) and 320 Newton-meters of torque

While it is a REEV, the S05 can be plugged in to charge its 27.28-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery. It also boasts an electric-only range of 170 kilometers (km) and a total overall range of 1,234 km.

Meanwhile, the Chinese-market version of the S05 BEV can produce up to 235 hp and cover up to 510 km on a single full charge. It also has a direct current (DC) fast-charging port that can bring its state of charge from 30-80 percent in just 15 minutes.

Notably, both versions of the Deepal S05 are rear-wheel-drive vehicles, which Deepal says makes it more planted and balanced.

On the other hand, the Deepal B318 REEV is an imposing-looking SUV that was designed for the road less traveled. No power figures were mentioned for this nameplate, but the one currently sold in China can produce up to 424 hp and 572 Nm of torque.

The output comes from its dual-motor (front/rear) electric motor setup, paired with a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four generator. The Chinese market B318 REEV also has 16 terrain modes, a locking differential, and a wading depth of up to 620 millimeters.

Concerning creature comforts, the three Deepal models get plenty. All three have Qualcomm-powered infotainment systems, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, and access to the Deepal smartphone app - among others.

Again, a detailed list of specs and features for the Philippine-spec Deepal S05 BEV, S05 REEV, and B318 REEV is yet to be disclosed. Otherwise, the brand has already unveiled their respective prices listed here:

Notably, Deepal Philippines will be presenting three of its all-new rides at the upcoming 2026 Manila International Auto Show. The aforementioned is set to kick off from April 9-12 at the World Trade Center Manila.

On that note, we can expect that more details about Deepal’s lineup will come to light by then.

For those unaware, Deepal is the premium arm of China Changan Automobile Group Corporation Limited

With its entry into the Philippines, the brand aims to upscale the car-buying experience with “deep technology, deep connection, and deep intelligence.” These are achieved by the brand’s specialization in REEV technology, which it says can be a viable alternative for those not wanting to fully dive into all-electric cars.
