Deepal appoints Autohub as distributor for PH

MANILA: Deepal has appointed Autohub Group as its official distributor in the Philippines.

In a statement, the automotive giant in the Philippines shared that the signing of the newly-forged partnership took place on January 14 the previous year.

Leading the ceremony were Changan Auto Southeast Asia executives Guan Xin (vice president), Leslie Wu (vice director), and Joel Villarin (country deputy chief), alongside leaders from the Autohub Group namely Willy Tee Ten (President) and Mark Gabriel (Deepal Philippines general manager).

Per the multi-brand firm, the addition of the Changan sub-brand to its portfolio strengthens its push towards next-generation mobility and expands its presence in the electrified vehicle space.

“Bringing Deepal to the Philippines is part of our commitment to offer the next generation of mobility solutions,” Tee Ten was quoted as saying.

“We are focused on brands that combine innovation, sustainability, and relevance to the everyday lives of Filipino drivers. Deepal embodies all of that, and we are excited to introduce it to the market,” he added.

Further, the Autohub Group noted that bringing in Deepal is aligned with its plan to introduce forward-looking automotive brands that respond to evolving consumer demand and increasing interest in sustainable transport options.

In line with this, Deepal will launch various models for the Philippines market. They are the S05 (in range extender [REEV> and battery-powered [BEV> variants), G318, and S07 — with the first two set to be introduced soon while the last one estimated to arrive in the succeeding quarters of the year.

Further, the company revealed that Deepal would join the 2026 Manila International Auto Show — where the brand’s local rollout and direction will be revealed.

Earlier, Inchcape-led Changan Philippines announced that it will reveal three models within 2025 that Zigwheels Philippines presumed to be nameplates under the Avatr and Deepal line.

To the unaware, Deepal offers electrified mobility in the mass-market segment while the Avatr is a premium EV brand that Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei created.
