Inchcape PH launches spruced-up Changan CS15

MANILA: Inchcape Philippines launched the updated version of the Changan CS15 for the local market.

Per the Chinese brand’s distributor in the country, the subcompact crossover’s latest iteration offers a “compelling combination of modern features, competitive pricing, and exceptional value for money.”

The new Changan CS15 — which is said to be a versatile solution designed for daily urban drives and weekend road trips — is aimed at catering to young, first-time vehicle buyers and those looking for a functional, reliable, feature-packed, and cost-efficient four-wheeler.

Here are the new Changan CS15’s notable portions.

Vehicle specifications

Up front, the spruced-up vehicle wears multi-dimensional rhombic grille (in exchange for the chrome slats of the previous iteration) and 17-inch alloy wheels in gunmetal tone (previously two-tone).

Other features that can be found on the vehicle are

• Automatic halogen headlights with LED daytime running lights
• Moonroof
• Functional satin silver-colored roof rails
• Rear fog lamps

Inside, the new Changan CS15 is tailored with soft and premium materials that matches its multi-functional leather steering wheel. It also got slapped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth as well as wireless Apple Carplay Android Auto connectivity.

Further, the small sport utility vehicle now features two USB ports (Type A and C) for the front and one Type-C socket for the rear. Rear passengers are also given an additional vent in their area to ensure a more comfortable journey.

Its host of creature comforts also include:

• Six-way adjustment for driver seat
• Seven-inch digital instrument cluster
• Four-speaker audio system
• Air Conditioner with pollen filter
• Parking sensors and rearview camera

Powering the vehicle is still the 1.5-liter Blue Core gasoline-fed engine that can deliver 105 horses and 145 Newton-meters of torque. The said mill is paired with a five-speed wet-type dual clutch transmission.

Safety is also prioritized in the Changan CS15 as it is fitted with technologies such as:

• Driver, front passenger, and front side airbags
• Anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist
• Electronic stability program
• Hill hold control
• Disc brakes on all four wheels
• Tire pressure monitoring system
• Rear child safety lock, ISOFIX
• Central door lock
• Driver seatbelt reminder

Now wearing higher price tag of P850,000 (previously P799,000), the new Changan CS15 can be had in the following body color options:

• Glitter Galaxy Silver Gray
• Red
• Shiny Pearl Black
• Snowy White

The newly-launched product is available at any of the 16 Changan dealerships around the country.
