Inside, the Kaicene CX70 offers a respectable balance of utilitarian features and modern technology for its price. Up front, the driver gets an analogue instrument cluster, a black leather-wrapped multi-control steering wheel, and a conventional-looking gear lever. Meanwhile, all passengers can enjoy an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display that offers Bluetooth connectivity and is connected to a 6-speaker sound system. This SUV also comes with 12V power outlets for enhanced passenger convenience.

One of the cabin’s main highlights is its impressive spaciousness. It has ample headroom and legroom across three rows, effectively accommodating seven passengers. In terms of comfort, its polyurethane seats provide everyone on board with decent cushioning and support. And, to enhance the CX70’s overall interior aesthetic, the brand gave it a large sunroof. All things considered, the Kaicene CX70’s cabin offers an impressive mix of comfort, functionality, and entertainment for its price.

In terms of dimensions, the Kaicene CX70 measures 4,705 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,775 mm in height. This SUV also has a wheelbase of 2,780 mm and a ground clearance of 190 mm.

The Kaicene CX70’s design strikes a balance between ruggedness and sophistication. Its fascia, which resembles a Range Rover, is enhanced by a chrome grille with a classy hexagonal pattern, as well as angular projector headlights with daytime running lights (DRLs). This SUV is also fitted with fog lights for better visibility, especially at night. And, underneath, it comes with a blacked-out bumper.

On the sides, this SUV features a two-tone profile, accentuated by blacked-out window trims, wheel arches, and side skirts. The CX70 runs on a robust-looking set of 17-inch wheels. And, for a more premium touch, signal lights are integrated into its door mirrors. 

Meanwhile, at the back, it is fitted with geometric tail lights, a high-mount third brake light, and another pair of fog lights. A chrome panel on its tailgate also adds more detail to its overall appearance on the road.

In terms of suspension, the Kaicene CX70 is equipped with a MacPherson strut at the front and a coil-spring axle at the rear. Although it may not deliver the plushest experience in its segment, the CX70 can still deliver a decent ride on bumpy, uneven city roads. Additionally, it is surprisingly nimble to maneuver through tight traffic and narrow streets for its size.

The Kaicene CX70 is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine that delivers 148 hp of maximum power and 230 Nm of maximum torque. This SUV comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission system and utilizes a rear-wheel drivetrain.

While it may not be the fastest nor the smoothest SUV in the local market, the CX70 has more than enough power and torque for quick highway overtakes and steep rural inclines. It is capable of bringing you and all your passengers from point A to point B on time. Its fuel economy on the highway is decent, but it still needs further improvement when it comes to stop-and-go traffic.

The Kaicene CX70 utilizes ventilated discs for front braking and solid discs for the rear. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control, hill-hold control, and an electronic stability program. This SUV is also equipped with ISOFIX child anchors, a smart keyless entry system, four rear parking sensors, and a reverse camera. 

Despite its flaws and current shortcomings, the Kaicene CX70 still remains a practical first car option for young professionals and budget-oriented families. It offers city-friendly maneuverability, exciting highway performance, and a respectable range of modern features for its price.
