Nissan’s New NV350 Urvan Coming on June 11

MANILA: Wait for nine more days! Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) is coming up with its new NV 350 Urvan on 11th of this month. While the predecessors of Urvan were locally assembled, this new one will be a completely built unit from Japan, and will exhibit the new looks and powertrain.

The cryptic details of the van are still un-coded, but the international examples show that its shadow under the sun would measure as 5080 mm x 1695 mm x 2285 mm (L X W X H) with a wheelbase size of 2940 mm. It would feature the trimmed roof line along with brand's quirky V-Motion grill. The picture inside the cabin shows the air conditioning cooling power system as well as a very flexible seating arrangement for 15 to 18 individuals along with ample of cargo space.

In terms of powertrain, there are possibilities for the NV 350 Urvan to carry one of these two engines. A 2.5-liter YD25DDti turbo diesel engine that brings out the power of 129 PS and torque of 356 Nm. A 2.5-liter QR25DE gasoline engine that will produce 147 PS of power and 213 Nm of torque. However, it is hearsay that like its NV 300 Navara, the new van will also possess the turbo diesel power plant. The 5-speed manual transmission is standard, but what is expected as a surprise is the 5-speed automatic transmission.

“The new and improved NV350 Urvan will be the van of choice, perfect for entrepreneurs managing their businesses on weekdays and families spending quality time in recreational places on weekends,” said, NPI president, Antonio Zara. Nissan's upbeat Urvan will be the choice of people looking for vans as the new Urvan blusters better fuel economy with its new engine in place and low maintenance cost due to its relatively long service periods.

Since the van can be used by one or all, Nissan is very optimistic with its launch that it would help in driving its sales figure higher. Adding to it, is the smart targeting of the company, the developing areas which give enough opportunities for experience and expansion.
