Peugeot PH opens new outlets as it marks record 297-percent growth

MANILA: Since its relaunch in January, Peugeot has opened a string of dealers, continuing its hyper-growth trajectory as the fastest-growing vehicle brand in the Philippines.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Where are the new outlets of Peugeot Philippines?

Peugeot Cebu’s 481 square meter facility is situated along Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City and has a capacity of three vehicles in its showroom and three car bays in its service area. Peugeot Negros is a 520 square meter property located at Zone 15, National Highway, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City and features a four-vehicle showroom and a two-car service bay.
  • What are Peugeot Philippines' marketing plans for 2023?

Peugeot is also set to roll out a number of sales and service programs beginning January 2023 in line with its efforts to become the preferred auto brand of Filipinos who want to elevate their day-to-day driving experience to a new level of modernity and sophistication.
  • By the end of November, Peugeot had grown by 297 percent year over year, setting a new mark for the brand in the nation. The company's four new nameplates — the Peugeot 2008, 3008, and 5008 SUVs, and the Peugeot Traveller Premium van, all of which were introduced this year — are responsible for the exceptional rise.

The French lion brand also remains on track with its dealership expansion as it continues to open new showrooms and service facilities in key cities across the country. Recently, Peugeot led back-to-back inaugurations of two new showrooms in the Visayas: Peugeot Cebu and Peugeot Negros.

“Customer response to our brand has truly been remarkable since re-launching in January, proving that more and more Filipinos are drawn to the allure of driving a Peugeot. We’re also making great progress with opening new showrooms and service facilities in partnership with our dealers, which is key to enhancing the ownership experience of our customers,” said Maricar Parco, brand head of Peugeot for the Philippines.

The brand-new Peugeot dealerships in Cebu and Negros were officially opened to the public on December 5 and 8, respectively. Owned and operated by the Gateway Group, both outlets reflect Peugeot’s new global dealership design concept, making them the first flagship dealerships in the Visayas to proudly show the rebranded Peugeot Lion shield.

Peugeot Negros is a 520 square meter property located at Zone 15, National Highway, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City and features a four-vehicle showroom and a two-car service bay.

With its newly opened outlets in Cebu and Negros, Peugeot today operates seven dealerships across the country. Other locations include Alabang, Pasig and Quezon Avenue in Metro Manila; Pampanga in North Luzon, and Davao in Mindanao. Three more are slated to open before the year ends: Balintawak and Manila Bay in Metro Manila, Santa Rosa in Laguna, and Bocaue in Bulacan. Additional locations are expected to launch in Q1 2023.

Peugeot is also set to roll out a number of sales and service programs beginning January 2023 in line with its efforts to become the preferred auto brand of Filipinos who want to elevate their day-to-day driving experience to a new level of modernity and sophistication.

“We are bringing back our Easy Own Program next month, which is a great and attractive bank financing program for customers looking to purchase a Peugeot. We are also excited to launch our Emergency Roadside Assistance program to give our customers added peace of mind while driving their Peugeot vehicle on the road,” added Parco.

Peugeot is managed in the Philippines by Astara, one of the biggest automotive distributors and mobility companies in the world.

In the last 11 months, the company has made significant progress on accelerating the revival of the brand in the market by providing customers with European-grade premium vehicles that Peugeot is known the world over for. The brand is also focusing its efforts on enhancing the consistency and reliability of its after-sales services across all its dealerships.

As Astara approaches its second year of operations in the Philippines, it has added GAC Motor to its portfolio of automobile distributorships.

In 2023, GAC Motor has already begun to go forward with Astara Philippines. The highly awaited Empow and the All-New GS8 SUV, which will replace the current GAC GS8, will be the company's first two new vehicles to hit the market on January 10 of the following year.

The Empow is a small car with imposing presence, sporty lines, and a commanding presence. Its chiseled contour and striking design components give it a sporting profile, and its technology, interiors, and driving dynamics are all created to stimulate the senses. Currently, the brand's GAC GS4 sedan competes in the sedan market.
