Season opener of 2022 Seaoil Radical Challenge kicks off in Clark

MANILA: Radical Cars Philippines, with ZigWheels Philippines as the proud media partner, in partnership with Seaoil Philippines, Inc., officially launched its inaugural race season — the 2022 Seaoil Radical Challenge — last August 26 in Clark, Pampanga. 

Round one of the 2022 Seaoil Radical Challenge saw intense racing action. Iñigo Anton wins the opening round after a strong performance over the entire weekend. Stefan Ramirez de Arellano and Mark Bumgarner are battling it out for a second place in the rankings, with Stefan winning the first and second races. They are not far behind.

With his Seaoil livery Radical SR1, Mark maintained consistency across all three races, earning three straight P3 podium places.

By starting in P4 and finishing in P2 in the only Radical SR3 on the grid, Jason Choachuy stunned everyone during Race 3, earning significant points for his squad. Due to his inability to compete in qualifying, Brian Poe Llamanzares started at the rear of the field but is still very much in the race after having close encounters with JV Colayco in Race 1 and Gibson Yu in Race 2.

Since its founding in 2019, Radical Philippines has not hosted a significant racing event. With the 2022 Seaoil Radical Challenge, Radical Philippines will formally establish itself as one of the 14 race series as part of Radical Motorsport's "Race The World" concept. The racing series is also co-presented by Motul Philippines.

The Seaoil Radical Challenge, dubbed the fastest race series in the nation, is the only local race series with an all-Radical grid using Seaoil Extreme 97 Octane as the approved fuel, guaranteeing maximum performance. Additionally, this year is the first time Seaoil has taken part in a local race series as the series' fuel and title sponsor.

Radical Motorsport is a British company that builds and manufactures racing automobiles. Mick Hyde and Phil Abbott, two amateur racers and engineers, formed the business in January 1997. They created open-cockpit sports cars that could be registered for road usage and raced on a track without any modifications. Radical produces a variety of road-legal sports vehicles and race cars with different specs. The Radical SR3 is their most well-known vehicle.

Round of the 2022 Seaoil Radical Challenge will happen at the Batangas Racing Circuit on September 23 to 25.
