TMP Tech produces latest batch of technicians

MANILA: A total of 231 technicians finished their respective courses in automotive servicing at the Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech).

The aforementioned number of graduates were the latest batch of graduates that underwent Automotive Servicing General Job, Automotive Body Panel Repairing, and Automotive Body Painting courses.

According to Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), the newest graduates form part of the 2,792 products of the aforementioned technical-vocational institution since 2014.

Founded by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Honorary Chairman Dr. Shoichiro Toyota and TMP Founding Chairman Dr. George Ty, the TMP Tech is aimed at becoming a world-class technical and vocational institution that develops Filipino youth to become highly competent automotive professionals for the local and international Toyota dealer network.

The 14th commencement exercise was conducted at TMP’s industrial complex in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

Leading the ceremonies were TMP President and TMP Tech Science and Technology Council Chairman Masando Hashimoto, TMP Tech Chairman Jose Maria Atienza, TMP Tech Senior Board Adviser Dr. David Go, TMP Tech President Jose Maria Aligada, and Toyota Dealers Association of the Philippines Representative Jym Joshner Yaokasin.

They are joined by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region IV-A Regional Director Archie Grande CESO III, and TESDA-Laguna Provincial Director Zoraida Amper.

I would also like to commend the strong commitment of TMP Tech to developing and preparing world-class automotive technicians. The school is helping to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in our Toyota Dealer Network, both here and abroad," Hashimoto noted.

"I am pleased to share that many TMP Tech graduates are now working overseas in Toyota and Toyota Group dealerships in Japan, the Middle East, and beyond. In addition, more than a thousand graduates are now employed in our local dealerships. This success is made possible by the solid foundation and values instilled here at TMP Tech," he added.
