Toyota Motor PH prolongs warranty to 5 years

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has extended its warranty program for customers to five years.

According to the leading local mobility company, customers will be given an additional two years or 40,000 kilometers (km) of coverage under the new Toyota 5-Year Warranty initiative.

These are the customers who may qualify for the Toyota 5-Year Warranty:

•  Customers who got their vehicles from January 1, 2025 onwards
• Those who are under contract with Kinto One or Kinto One Business at the start of the year

To qualify, Toyota clients need to avail at least six periodic maintenance services during the three-year period — with at least one per year conducted at a Toyota dealer.

“However, for customers who will avail less than six PMS, they will qualify for the fourth-year limited coverage additional warranty on the condition that they were able to avail three to five PMS with at least one PMS per year at any Toyota dealer. The Limited Coverage additional warranty does not cover wear and tear parts related to suspension, steering, and brakes system,” the company noted.

Those who will be able to avail the fourth-year full coverage additional warranty are eligible for an additional one-year or 20,000-km extension on the fifth year if they will have at least two PMS during the aforementioned ownership period.

“However, vehicles of customers that were only able to avail one PMS during the fourth-year ownership period are qualified for the limited coverage additional warranty only.
