Toyota PH, SWAT Mobility team up for workforce shuttle system

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines has partnered with Singapore-based startup SWAT Mobility to launch its On-Demand Shuttle (ODS) system that will address the demand for safe and reliable mobility of the workforce.

The ODS system aims to give secure and comfortable shuttle services to companies for their employees’ daily commute. Through the SWATBiz mobile app, the system automates route preparation and simplifies the seat booking process to eliminate the manual arrangement of shuttle destination points. Fleet management is also made easier with the mobile app as it comes with a real-time tracking system that helps operators in monitoring the shuttle vehicles.

The system features two routing types: dynamic and fixed. Dynamic routing is recommended for companies with unfixed work schedule, wherein the ridership count in the vehicles varies from time to time. Meanwhile, fixed routing is ideal for arrangements where there is a fixed work schedule, pre-defined routes, and shared drop-off points.

Aside from making shuttle service management easier and more convenient, the ODS system also helps improve work efficiency and optimize operating costs.
