Toyota Rentacar now available in Joyride app

MANILA: Toyota Mobility Solution Philippines (TMSPH) has forged a partnership with Joyride to offer customers long-term rental service.

In a statement, the Toyota Motor Philippines’ mobility service venture said that the collaboration between Toyota Rentacar and Joyride will give app users the flexibility to book within the Joyride Superapp.

To note, Toyota RentαCar gives customers a wide selection of models — from sedans to sport utility vehicles and vans — to be self- or chauffeur-driven from 10 hours to three years, depending on their mobility and travel requirements.

“Through this strategic partnership between TMSPH and Joyride PH Corporation, customers can now book Toyota RentαCar services directly through the Joyride Superapp. Travelers arriving at NAIA terminals—or other designated pickup locations across Metro Manila — can seamlessly reserve vehicles for longer durations,” the company noted.

Such a service option — which will initially be launched in Metro Manila — can be beneficial to passengers based outside Metro Manila, those with multiple planned destinations, or anyone seeking a more personalized and flexible travel experience.

“Joyride has become a premier mobility service provider to over 13 million subscribers, and we are very excited and positive about the benefits that our partnership can bring to Filipino commuters. This collaboration between us very much aligns with Toyota Mobility Solutions’ vision to create a free, safe and comfortable mobility society for all, contributing to quality of life in the Philippines,” TMSPH President Ma. Cristina Fe Arevalo told Zigwheels Philippines in an interview.

“Through the inclusion of Toyota RentaCar in the Joyride superapp, our car rental service can now be accessed 24/7 with a seamless online booking and payment facility. On top of that, Joyride has been a loyal Toyota customer, especially when they introduced their Super Taxi using the Veloz,” she added.

How to avail

To avail, clients need to download the Joyride Superapp and select the car rental feature.

First-time renters shall be required to register on the Toyota RentαCar website.

Upon choosing their preferred option, customers need to settle payments through various channel such as:

• E-wallets
• Credit or debit cards via the Superapp
• Toyota RentαCar branches using cash or card options

Per TMSPH, the co-operation signifies a joint commitment to improving transportation accessibility and customer satisfaction. “The shared goal is to enhance mobility services in and beyond Metro Manila—ultimately contributing to a more connected and commuter-friendly Philippines,” the firm added.
