The Valkyrie is Kenstomoto's first full custom motorcycle

MANILA: The world of custom motorcycles is completely in another dimension. Apart from the legal restrictions, people are free to use their imagination and build a unique motorcycle. Kenny Yeoh of Kenstomoto builds custom motorcycles. And his latest creation is definitely going to amaze you.

This is the Kenstomoto Valkyrie. It is a bizarre-looking custom motorcycle. With a futuristic design and unusual styling, it doesn’t seem anything less than a transformer. Kenny has put a lot of hard work to build this machine. It took him 10 months to get it up on its two wheels.

The heart of the Valkyrie is a parallel-twin extracted from a 2012 Kawasaki ER-6n. To accommodate this engine in such a motorcycle, Kenny had to fabricate an entirely new frame. There are a plethora of custom parts on this motorcycle.

The Valkyrie sits very low from the ground. It has a ground clearance of just 70 mm, and the rider sits a mere 500 mm above the ground. Apart from being weirdly low, the Valkyrie is also very long. It measures 2.89 meters in length.

Running on a single-sided swingarm, the Valkyrie is surely going to grab a lot of attention. It is still to be tested for handling. With the looks of it, it does not appear to be quite practical. Well, custom motorcycles are not usually built for practical purposes, right? Speaking about it, Kenny says, “The Valkyrie is a custom show bike, so I was not too concerned about the practicality of the handling as yet. But the next version of the Valkyrie will probably use a parallel linkage system to avoid bump steer.”

The overall appearance of the Valkyrie is already pretty breathtaking and to make it even more prominent it has been painted in Matte Candy Red with Titanium accents. Kenny says that the design of the Valkyrie is inspired by the giant fighting robots from Japan, called Gundam.

He says, “The process was sheer insanity. I was working on the Valkyrie day and night, alongside a parallel build of the Azimuth. I don’t I want to do this again. I took the clamshell riding position of a “future” bike, and wanted to mate it with a half mechanical, half organic look.”

The Valkyrie will be put up on display at the Invitational Bike Build-off 2018 of the 2018 Art of Speed.
