Understanding YECVT Technology
At the center of the campaign is Yamaha’s YECVT system, which gives riders greater control over their motorcycle’s performance through selectable ride modes and an electronic downshift function.
Unlike conventional CVT systems, YECVT allows riders to adjust acceleration and deceleration based on road conditions and personal preferences for a more engaging experience.
Photo from Iezer MagallonOne of its standout features is the downshift function. When stronger acceleration is needed, such as during overtaking, the rider can activate the Shift button located on the left-hand switchgear. The system offers up to three levels of downshift, improving responsiveness and greater control when required.
The technology also enhances engine brake performance, helping riders navigate through downhills and corners with a smoother and more controlled pace.
Sport, Touring Modes
YECVT-equipped Yamaha models in the country (particularly the NMAX Tech MAX and Aerox SP), feature two selectable riding modes designed to suit different riding styles and conditions.
In Sport Mode, the engine operates at higher RPMs, keeping it closer to peak torque, resulting in quicker throttle response and stronger acceleration. This setting is useful for overtaking, and coursing highways.

Limited-Time NMAX Tech MAX Promotion
To encourage more riders to experience YECVT technology, YMPH is offering a special limited-time, exclusive promotion for participants who will purchase their own Yamaha NMAX Tech MAX.
From June 20 to July 20, the first 25 buyers who took part in the event will receive a complimentary HJC DIABLO MASK MC1 helmet–serving as an added incentive to experience Yamaha’s latest transmission innovation firsthand.
