Yamaha Q-Bix displayed with new color options at 2019 BIMS

MANILA: The existing Yamaha Q-Bix is not old enough for the company to neglect its potential. The two-wheeler has now made its way to the 2019 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) with six different color options and harvested a large share of attraction on the floor. The unique design and high-end features of this two-wheeler convinced many visitors to check out the model.

Yamaha Q-Bix was launched back in 2017 and is way ahead from its competitors in terms of technologies, which are exclusive to it. It embellishes a futuristic design like vehicles in a sci-fi movie. At the front, there is a big LED headlight aligned vertically and is engulfed by thick borders. Below this, there are turn indicators followed by a polished front fender. Moreover, just like the front, LED unit have made its way to the rear.

On the feature part, the Q-Bix gets a digital information console with a full LCD panel, under-seat storage space with enough volume to fit two helmets, and a built-in socket to charge mobile phones. Furthermore, the top-end model arrives with a remote key with position and answer back system to identify your street runner under challenging situations. The remote also carries a start and stop button. Other features include a smart stop and start system that helps in saving fuel by shutting down the engine after a few seconds of stoppage. Worth mentioning is that the two-wheeler can be made ready to run with mere throttling after automatic engine shutdown. It also gets front discs, which is further supplemented by Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

Q-Bix draws necessary power from a Blue Core 125 cc engine. It is highly efficient in terms of fuel economy and even has considerably low carbon emissions.

It is uncertain whether the two-wheeler will make its way in the Philippines or not. However, Q-Bix ABS is available in Thailand and carries a price tag of 60,400 Thai Baht, which when converted is almost Php 100,000.
