I'm a fan of off-road vehicles, but I could never trust electric ones as I always considered them to be underpowered. However, that has completely changed with the Dongfeng M Hero. I took this vehicle on my first trail run through shallow streams, sand dunes, and steep inclines, and surprisingly, it was very capable. I found the torque delivery to be instant without any lag or struggle. On each wheel, the independent motor control gave me the confidence required to tackle angles I had earlier used to hesitated with a diesel SUV.
