Hongqi, one of China’s oldest automobile manufacturers, entered the Philippines market in March 2023 with the e-HS9 full-sized SUV. The 5.2-meter long car is among the longest in its class. The look and design of the Hongqi e-HS9 seems to have been inspired by the super-luxury Rolls-Royce cars, particularly with the oversized grille. The car is available in the Executive, Deluxe, and Flagship variants. All are equipped with dual-electric motors that are powered by a liquid-cooled, 99kWh lithium-ion battery. The Executive version produces 430PS/600Nm. It’s a fully internet-connected car, and the cabin is full of luxury. The company plans to have a sizeable market pie with the e-HS9.
