The 849 Testarossa Spider showcases Ferrari’s advanced design language, characterized by an innovative blend of sharp lines and aerodynamic features. At the front, it flaunts a bridge-like fascia, with a sleek black panel connecting its rectangular LED headlamps. Underneath, functional airflow ducts are integrated into its sharp bumper, giving it an aggressive, sporty demeanor on the road.

Meanwhile, its side profile exudes a mix of aggression and sophistication, highlighted by its stunning retractable hard top (deploys or retracts in 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 kmph), which accentuates the supercar’s double tail design and powerful rear forms when opened. Its sculpted doors not only give its silhouette a hypermodern touch, but also contribute to the car’s overall aerodynamics. Additionally, the 849 Testarossa Spider runs on 20-inch forged wheels with aerodynamic spokes.

Furthermore, its sharp, aerodynamic styling carries over to the rear. It features an active rear spoiler designed to adjust downforce according to the driver’s current driving conditions. It sports hypermodern-looking slim LED tail lights, which contribute to its futuristic flare at night. And, to further enhance its high-performance, aerodynamic look, this plug-in hybrid supercar is fitted with twin-tail exhaust pipes and a full-width diffuser.

Like the coupe version, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider is also equipped with a suspension combination of unequal-length Control Arms at the front and a Multi-Link at the rear. The 849 Testarossa Spider is propelled by Ferrari’s plug-in hybrid technology that pairs a 4L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 830 cv (819 hp) of maximum power and 842 Nm of maximum torque, with three electric motors. Together, the electrified setup generates a staggering 1,050 cv (1,036 hp) of combined power. 

Power is sent to all four wheels through Ferrari’s 8-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission system, while drivers can choose from three driving modes: Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify, depending on their desired level of performance.

That said, this open-topped, plug-in hybrid supercar boasts exceptional speed both on the track and out on the open road, going from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 2.3 seconds. It achieves a top speed of over 330 kmph. Additionally, its F1 DCT is smooth and responsive, allowing the driver to perform upshifts seamlessly.

The 849 Testarossa Spider comes with front and rear carbon-ceramic brakes, supported by Ferrari’s ABS EVO and Performance EBD. This plug-in hybrid supercar also features Ferrari’s Side Slip Control (SSC) 9.0 technology, Electronic Differential (E-DIFF), and Dynamic Enhancer 2.0 (FDE 2.0), among others.
