Mobilio Pros & Cons

Things We Like in Mobilio

The Honda Mobilio is positioned as a compact MUV and it looks not so large on the outside as a conventional MUV. However, step into the cabin of the Mobilio, and one will be hugely impressed with the space inside the cabin. The Honda Mobilio by far is the most spacious compact MUV in its category, with best in segment legroom, knee room, and shoulder room.

The Honda Mobilio is powered by the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine, which has been powering the Honda City for almost a decade now. This engine has set the benchmark for its very engaging performance and power delivery as well as refinement, making the driving experience of the Honda Mobilio a very pleasant one.

Things We Dont Like in Mobilio

The Honda Mobilio is incredibly spacious on the inside. However, to maximize the cabin space, Honda has compromised with the seats of the Mobilio. The seats have thin cushioning on the sides as well as back, which make it a bit uncomfortable for longer journeys. Even the under-thigh support too isn’t that great, with limited vertical width being small trouble for taller passengers.

To cater to the cost-conscious compact MUV segment buyers, Honda has limited the number of comfort and convenience features in the Honda Mobilio. The MUV only comes with the required essentials and not any other special feature to make it stand apart from the competition.

Recent Updates of Honda Mobilio

The RS Navi additionally gets gloss black grilles and sportier rims. All three variants are powered by the same 118 hp and 145 Nm producing 1.5L inline 4 engine mated to a 5-speed transmission. The RS and the V variants come equipped with 7” touchscreen audio and steering mounted controls while the RS Navi alone gets navigation, rear camera with guidelines, paddle shifters and stability assist. All are equipped with dual front airbags. The prices for the Mobilio variants start from Php 884000 and go up to Php 1071000.

Overview

The Philippines is experiencing a tremendous growth in the MPV segment and this has encouraged various automakers to bring their MPVs to this market. Honda is not a new name in the Philippines automotive market and has been appreciated for its sumptuous fleet with cutting-edge technology. The thick chrome finishing at the front radiator grille gives an upper class feel while the sharp headlamps merging into this grille make it look wider and more sophisticated. The crisp creases all over the side and front profile gives a sporty touch to this family MPV. Dark side pillars and uplifted rear add more towards the aesthetics of this car. Honda Mobilio has a compact structure in comparison to its closest competitors but still it shows a sturdy and strong stance while running on the road. A perfect fusion of contemporary styling with functionality and practicality, this Honda drives has 15-inch alloy wheels with 185/65 R15 tires which ensure stability and safety while running on any terrain.

Honda is well known for its cutting edge technology which it provided through its efficient i-VTEC engines throughout its fleet. Honda Mobilio is no exception and comes packed with a 1.5-litre chain drive SOHC engine irrespective of the trims. While the numbers look pretty good on the chart, the engine is responsive with both of its transmissions whether it is 5-speed manual or CVT mated with Honda patent highly advanced Earth Dreams Technology which boosts the overall performance of the engine. Even in comparison to its closest competitors, this engine sounds a better performer. This engine is in compliance with Euro 4 emission rating ensuring that the carbon emissions are within the limits. I have a big family and whenever I have to go to any local place, I have to make two trips in my small car. For long trips, I need to book a taxi. To get rid of this, I thought to buy a seven seater MPV which could take my family anywhere in one trip. I saw my friend Read More

    My spacious Honda car

If you have loved driving small cars so far and want to opt for a change, why not go for something like Honda Mobile. Honda Mobilo, unlike its predecessor, Honda Brio is quite enlarged in size.
