The flagship sedan from Suzuki globally, the Ciaz, is now available in the facelifted form, which was launched in a number of other markets globally back in 2018 itself. The facelifted Suzuki Ciaz comes with a revised front end and minutely spruced interior and promises to continue being a family-oriented spacious and comfortable car. In the Philippines, the Suzuki Ciaz has been made available in a single variant – GL AT.
The Suzuki Ciaz shows up little changes to its interior cabin, the layout of which more or less has remained unchanged. The cabin continues to be an all-black affair, which is different from the India-spec version which has got dual-tone black and beige with faux wood inlays. Another difference between the India-spec version and this one is that the latter misses out on a number of comfort and convenience features, which makes it look basic for a sedan of this size.
The cabin of the Suzuki Ciaz gets a simple tilt-adjustable three-spoke steering wheel and a two-pod analog instrument console, which combine to make up for a very functional driver’s cockpit. The center console has an asymmetric design, with a decently sized 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto placed in the middle of it. The middle layer of the dashboard has got a nice contrasting silver-coloured layer. Apart from the touchscreen infotainment system, the Suzuki Ciaz misses out on a number of features and only gets the essentials like power windows and a manual air conditioner.
Suzuki has not made significant changes to this facelifted version of the Ciaz, which continues to be a handsome and proportionate looking long sedan. While we would have loved to see more changes and better features as they are present in the India-spec model, it is one sedan that definitely has got a smart road presence.
The new facelifted Suzuki Ciaz now gets a slightly revised front fascia, with a longer and sleeker front grille, which looks more premium than ever before. The two parallel chrome garnish lines add some elegance to the front look of the car. The sweptback trapezoidal headlamp units with projector bulbs are the same as before. The front bumper too has been heavily revised with bigger and more aerodynamic fog lamp housings.
The rest of the Suzuki Ciaz looks completely the same as before, with no changes to the side and rear profiles. The Ciaz has a long wheelbase which gives it the presence of a long and low slung car. The multi-spoke alloy wheels add to the charisma of the car’s overall design from the side.
At the back, the Suzuki Ciaz continues to have wing-shaped tail lamps which are big and have a two-part design. The boot lid looks wide and has a trapezoidal housing for the license plate, with its lower edges being rounded.
There are no major changes to the Suzuki Ciaz when it comes to ride and handling balance. The Ciaz continues to be a comfortable sedan to be in, with the suspension combination of Macpherson struts at the front and torsion beam at the rear perfectly tuned for plush ride quality. The handling is not something that can be termed as engaging, but it gets the job done without any fuss.
Powering the Suzuki Ciaz is the same 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine from the erstwhile version, which continues to make 91 bhp of power and 130 Nm of torque. This engine feels lethargic at higher rpms, but is decently refined for urban duties. Suzuki could have used this facelift as an opportunity to bring in the larger and more powerful 1.5-litre engine from the India-spec version. The only transmission option available for this engine is a 4-speed automatic gearbox, which again is not the smoothest gearbox available, but serves the purpose.
The Suzuki Ciaz is packed with only bare essentials like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and a reverse parking camera with sensors in the list of safety features. However, at its price, it serves the job effectively.
There is not much to talk about the facelift, as the changes in the new Suzuki Ciaz are not too significant overall. However, the sedan, with a sleeker new face, looks better than before. Adding to it, it continues to retain its strong fortes of plush ride quality and high fuel efficiency.
I did not have many specifications when I went to buy a sedan for myself. I bought the Suzuki Ciaz as it fit my budget and looked pretty attractive and elegant in my opinion. Over the past few months of driving the car, I can say that I am really satisfied and happy with the car. To begin with, the
The Suzuki Ciaz is an amazing sedan in the commuter segment and I think you cannot buy a better car at this price. I have been driving the Ciaz for almost a year now and I have nothing to complain about. The car looks really sporty and attractive and the new design approach features a new grille and longer upswept
An appealing mover of the Suzuki is the all-new Ciaz. The car right from its dazzling front fascia to the LED tail lights sparkles expert craftsmanship blended with top quality features facilitating superior creation. Grafted with a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine the car conducts efficient movement within its machinery. The car has been widely lauded for its plushy cabin fabrication and
I am deeply enticed by the overall appearance and conduction of the Suzuki Ciaz. What a swiftly moving car this is! The engine is powered by a 1462cc displacement with manual and automatic transmission shift styles. I opted for the manual transmission type as it gives me the freedom of accelerating my car through physical shifts. It is a five-seater
Great space, premium looks, and excellent fuel economy make the Suzuki Ciaz 2021 a great car to buy. I have travelled in many sedan cars but the cabin comfort of the Ciaz 2021 beats them all. The ride quality itself is soft and pliant and the car can travel on all types of roads. The suspension system does a good
I was undecided whether to buy the Dzire or Ciaz but finally settled for the latter. While the Dzire is a great car, I wanted a bit more premium feel. The Ciaz looks quite posh, unlike other Suzuki cars that aren’t much of a looker. The car comes with good cabin space, impressive fuel economy, and a pretty big cargo
I have previously owned the Suzuki Ciaz 2019 version and this was the reason why I was eager to get hands on the brand new Suzuki Ciaz which is expected to get launched in the second half of 2021. Since I have used the previous variant that churned out a decent power output and I obviously expect more in terms
I have always been a fanatic for classy cars and all this while I never preferred subcompact cars because of their structure. I had already decided that this time I will go for a car that will look like a sedan but a classy one. The Suzuki Ciaz was suggested by one of my friends and this car looked like
When you buy a sedan, you are sure to look for a nicely styled vehicle. But along with that, there can be other things to consider like the price and the fuel economy as well as features. I recently bought the Suzuki Ciaz GL 1.4 MT variant and I feel it is one of the most compact and all-inclusive packages
An urban car with high efficiency delivers a very promising and comfortable drive. The brand offers a 1.5-liter petrol engine variant in the segment. Ciaz is a very stylish car and anyone can notice this car coming. With the slim grille, the car gets a modern stylish look. with the cool look, it provides a very comfy yet dynamic interior
