Tesla Model 3

The dual-tone black and grey upholstery with artificial leather trim for the dashboard and door trims might make the Tesla Model 3 look clean and futuristic to some people’s eyes. The dashboard here has a layered and minimalist design, with the car having a huge 15.4-inch touchscreen unit positioned in the centre console.

Besides being a window for the 17-speaker audio system, the infotainment system is also the touchpoint for other functions of the car, including the instrument console, climate control settings and more fancy features like camp mode and dog mode. The wraparound layout for the dashboard makes the cabin look and feel wide.

Besides this massive screen in the centre console, the Tesla Model 3 also has an additional 8-inch touchscreen placed behind the floating centre console in the middle of the front seats. This additional screen is the secondary display and control panel for the infotainment and climate control settings for the rear seat passengers. The cabin of Model 3 also comes equipped with wireless charging, powered and ventilated front seats, and ambient lighting. 

The clean and minimalist-looking Tesla Model 3 became even sleeker in its last update, which gave it a new set of swankier-looking slim all-LED headlamps. With a fastback essence in its design, courtesy of its coupe-like rounded roofline, the Tesla Model 3 has a low-slung stance, that makes it look futuristic. 

The Tesla Model 3’s no-nonsense appearance at the front includes a curvaceous bonnet, with the sleeker all-LED headlamps also having innovative lighting patterns and LED DRLs.

The side profile of the Tesla Model 3 has 18-inch alloy wheels in the Rear Wheel Drive variant, while the Long Range AWD and Performance variants have the options of 19-inch or 20-inch aero alloy wheel, giving it an even better stance.

The front and rear fenders of the Tesla Model 3 have smooth and stylish-looking contours, while the door panels also have flush-type door handles. The coupe-like, fastback-inspired roofline of the Tesla Model 3 flows towards the wide and curvaceous boot, with combination tail lamps featuring updated LED inserts gracing the sides of the rear profile. 

The independent, double wishbone suspension with a coil spring, telescopic damper and a sway bar at the front and independent, multi-link suspension with a coil spring and telescopic damper at the rear are the suspension combinations offered in the Tesla Model 3.  The overall ride quality feels comfortable, while the steering also has a light usability. 

There are three variants in the lineup of Tesla Model 3 in the Philippines – Rear Wheel Drive, Long Range, and Performance. All these three variants are well-distinguished with different powertrain combinations. 

The Rear Wheel Drive, as the name suggests, has a rear-mounted single motor, which produces 325 bhp and 420 Nm, while claiming 225 kmph top speed and a range of 513 km from its 57.5kWh battery. 

The mid-spec Long Range variant has a dual-motor setup, which produces 441 bhp and 493 Nm in its full swing while returning a range of 629 km from its 82kWh battery. Lastly, the range-topping Performance variant claims 513 bhp and 660 Nm from its dual-motor setup, while its 82kWh battery claims 528 km range.

While the Autopilot driving assistant is the centre of attention in the Model 3, Tesla has also equipped this sedan with its range of advanced safety assistance consisting of lane assist, forward collision warning, speed assist, automatic emergency braking, obstacle-aware acceleration, and cabin camera with driver attentiveness monitoring. The Model 3 also features front, side, and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD, 360-degree parking camera, traction control, electronic stability control, and front and rear parking sensors. 

The Model 3 might be the most affordable vehicle from Tesla, but it has no lack of tech and performance. The last update made the Model 3 even sleeker than before, making it an attention magnet.
