Benelli RFS 150I

The Benelli RFS 150i has a very attractive design, which looks in league with the entry-level sports bikes and other sporty and premium mopeds available in the market right now. The Benelli RFS 150i has a pointy and compact-looking front apron, which houses sleek L-shaped daytime running LEDs and turn indicators in its lower corners. This front apron features aggressive cuts and decals, which gives it a sense of sportiness in its front fascia. The halogen headlamp of the Benelli RFS 150i is placed within the handlebar cowl, which also comes with a dual-tone treatment and a tiny gloss-black visor above it.

Moving towards the side profile, the Benelli RFS 150i has a concentrated visual mass towards the front, where the beefy-looking side extensions of the compact fairing flow downwards. These panels have pointy designs, which give the moped a sporty appearance from the side as well. The tunnel running in the middle accommodates a fuel tank, with its top having the ignition keyhole placed to its right. The slim side body panels start from this centre tunnel and flow towards the rear, which makes the Benelli RFS 150i look slim and athletic. The lower part of the Benelli RFS 150i gets a fully-exposed engine, with the moped also having alloy wheels at both ends.

While the Benelli RFS 150i looks aggressive and sporty from the front, the rear profile of the moped looks simple and compact, with the tail section ending with a small LED tail lamp, and a motorcycle-like rear fender, which comes attached with turn indicators on it. At the back of the long seat of the Benelli RFS 150i, there are split pillion grab rails, which add a touch of sportiness to the rear profile. The instrument console of the Benelli RFS 150i is a part-digital affair, with the unit comprising an analogue tachometer and an LCD panel comprising of speedometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, gear indicator and engine temperature gauge.

Complementing the powerful engine of the Benelli RFS 150i is its light-weighted chassis, which comprises a suspension combination of upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. This modern suspension combination, which is usually found in premium sports bikes, makes the Benelli RFS 150i an excellent handler and makes it a fun-to-ride machine. Riding on 70/90-17 front and 110/70-17 rear tyres, the Benelli RFS 150i comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends.

The Benelli RFS 150i is powered by a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 149.8cc engine, which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and pumps out maximum power and torque outputs of 15.4 PS and 13.4 Nm respectively. The engine has strong performance numbers and coupled with the light-weighted chassis of the Benelli RFS 150i, it feels strong and makes the moped quick enough. However, at the higher RPMs, the refinement levels can be a bit smoother.

In terms of safety, the Benelli RFS 150i comes equipped with a lockable ignition keyhole and a lock for the rear brake lever. However, it misses out on other sophisticated and premium safety features, including the ABS.
