Cabin couture: What’s inside the MG Marvel R

MG Cars Philippines unveiled its two all-electric offerings not too long ago, and one of them is the Marvel R.

The new-energy vehicle does look like a modern car thanks to its streamlined exterior design, but does it sport the same sleek look inside?

For all those interested, especially those looking to drive home MG’s electric vehicle, we’re going to take a quick look at what’s inside the Marvel R.

Bucket-type seats

A treat for the MG Marvel R’s would-be owners, the all-electric crossover comes standard with bucket-type stock seats. They look comfortable with more than enough bolstering to keep the driver and the front passenger snug in almost all types of driving conditions.

The front-row seating has power adjust features with ventilation, which adds to the premium vibes of the MG Marvel R.

Further, the second-row seats are also equipped with decent bolstering, which could increase the comfort level of the passengers sitting at the back.

It is also worth noting that all seats come wrapped in leather with the front-row seating featuring some kind of perforation.

A larger-than-life infotainment screen

Probably one of the largest infotainment screens we’ve seen in a crossover, the MG Marvel R packs a whopping 19.4-inch horizontally-oriented display complete with corning gorilla glass touchscreen.

Almost all of the vehicle controls can be found in the center screen and overall provides a seamless, smartphone-like experience for the MG Marvel R’s future owners.

The humongous screen is complemented by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that displays relevant driving data in crisp detail.

Panoramic sunroof

Allowing passengers of the MG Marvel R to be as close to nature as possible while on the road is its panoramic sunroof.

Nevertheless, the said feature may not be everyone’s cup of tea as having mechanical components on a car’s roof could be cause for concern along the road. However, those who do not mind the additional maintenance cost and the possibility of leaks can definitely appreciate a whiff of sea breeze or a ride under the stars aboard the MG Marvel R.

Voice-activated commands

Looking to provide a really modern experience to its owners, the MG Marvel R has been equipped with a system that can execute voice-activated commands.

Things one can do with the technology include finding places of interest, streaming music, and vehicle control commands such as closing the aforementioned panoramic sunroof.

The MG Marvel R is offered in a single variant and is priced at P2,588,888.
