No need to choose: This is the PH-spec 2025 Toyota Camry's sole option

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has updated the Camry sedan sometime last month. 

Its latest iteration gave the executive sedan a more chiseled look while still maintaining its sleek, minimalist appeal. Further, the newest version to the local market now boasts a more capable, yet sustainable powertrain, which befits its more athletic appearance. 

Currently, TMP is selling the 2025 Toyota Camry in a single variant. That said, will a sole trim answer the motoring needs of its target market? Find out as we take a look at the lone option of the opulent sedan. 

Exterior 

Outside, the new Toyota Camry wears an updated fascia, one with a modern grille that has some honeycomb (or diamond-like) elements on the sides. Atop it is a thin, long latticework that also helps with cooling the powerplant under its sculpted hood. 

Flanking the said vent are LED headlights that bear some striking resemblance to the United States-specification Toyota Prius. These lights — based on the carmaker’s local subsidiary — come with leveling and clearance functions and are integrated with daytime running lights. 

A front fog lamp rounds up its stylish features at the fore. 

To its sides are body-colored side mirrors with power adjust, fold, reverse link, and memory functionalities. Subtly striking are the chrome appliques on its window surrounds and the two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels in black and chrome design. These are wrapped in 235/45 series tires. 

Not to be overshadowed by the appointments on its fringes, the straight and sound bodylines of the 2025 Toyota Camry add an aura of stability and dependability to the luxurious sedan. 

At the back, the vehicle gets a gracefully sloping rear glass. On the trunk is the Toyota badge, the “CAMRY” nameplate, an “HEV” emblem, and a pair of LED taillamps. Below it are reflectors, which are merged into its elegant bumper. 

Interior 

Inside, the new Toyota Camry wows with its luxurious leather seats. They come in a tasteful brow hue with perforation and piping in a similar color. 

The driver gets to enjoy an eight-way power seat with a memory feature and much-appreciated lumbar support. The person sitting shotgun gets the same amenities, less the memory function. 

Proving that it is more of a passenger than a driver’s car, the new Toyota Camry’s rear seating has an abundance of bolsters with a pull-down armrest. The said armrest is fitted with two cup holders for their expensive beverages as well as controls for the cabin’s many features. 

And while we’re on the topic of leather upholstery, a portion of the car’s dashboard and its door cards use the same brown hide. Meanwhile, the gear shifter boot as well as the steering wheel are wrapped in sleek black leather. 

Tech-wise, the 2025 Toyota Camry gets two digital screens on its dashboard. Below are their measurements:

The instrument panel displays relevant driving information to the person sitting behind the wheel. On the other hand, the infotainment unit offers seamless smartphone connectivity for integrating compatible mobile phone apps like Spotify and Google Maps, by way of Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

• Head-up display on dashboard

Hybrid powertrain 

Over its predecessor, the 2025 Toyota Camry gained significant power. 

Under the bonnet is a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. Power transfer is facilitated by a continuously variable transmission.

Pricing 

The sole variant of the 2025 Toyota Camry costs P2.671 million.

The latest edition of the Toyota Camry impresses not only with a more powerful-looking exterior but also with a capable hybrid powertrain to boot.

Toyota here proves that in new energy vehicles, sustainability is not always the byproduct. But by designing a car properly, it can be made to generate more power to make our daily drives less mundane. 

Overall, the package sold by TMP gives its target market everything needed. The single variant on sale makes it so that car buyers will not have to make hard decisions, and that they can reap all of the benefits the nameplate has to offer.
