All-electric SUV set to arrive in PH by Q1 2026
MANILA: Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, previewed the EV5 all-electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) at the 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). The said model is set to join the much larger EV9 as part of the brand’s expanding electric vehicle (EV) lineup for the local market.

As the Korean marque’s local arm disclosed, the EV5 is set to arrive in the country sometime in the first quarter of 2026. For now, its pricing details are yet to be disclosed, but the brand did share some basic specifications.

Kia EV5: basic specs
According to Kia Philippines, the EV5 uses a single-motor setup equipped with an 88.1-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery. At maximum, it can produce up to 214 horsepower (hp) and 310 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelThanks to its relatively large battery, the EV5 offers an estimated cruising range of 550 kilometers (km). It also boasts regenerative braking, vehicle-to-load technology, and Kia’s DriveWise driver-assist system.
Those are just the features Kia Philippines disclosed for the EV5. But in other markets, the model also has direct current (DC) fast charging, which can increase its battery levels from 30-80 percent in just 30 minutes. It also has variants with a dual-motor setup as well as an all-wheel-drive system.

Foreign market versions of the Kia-made EV also come with the following notable features:

To note, the Kia EV5 will be available for public viewing at the 13th PEVS held at the SMX Convention Center until October 25, 2025.
