2019 Honda NSX introduced with minor revisions and new paint job

MANILA: The Honda NSX is up with a facelift now. However, this 2019 edition hasn’t had a lot of significant changes, both physically and mechanically, though we still find it to be way better than what it was earlier.

For the 2019 Honda NSX, the Japanese company has not compromised with the drivability along with making the handling better. As a result, the car has large stabiliser bars to increase the stiffness by 26% in the front and 19% at the rear. Further, even the software system of the magnetorheological dampers has been tweaked to some extent so that the riding is better in the Quiet Mode than the current model.

Though there isn’t a lot of changes on the exterior front, we do have a few tweaks here and there. There is a new colour added to the lineup, which is the Thermal Orange Pearl. The carbon-ceramic disc plates have orange calipers too. Moreover, for the cabin, there are two options for the upholstery - Indigo Blue in Alcantara leather and an all-red leather cover.

Under the hood, there is a twin-turbo, 3.5-litre engine with a V6 cylinder alignment. This motor is assisted by three electric engines which, together make 573 PS of power and 645 Nm of torque. There is 9-speed dual clutch gearbox unit handling the transmission duties.

The 2019 Honda NSX rides on Continental SportContact 6 tyres that are developed specially for it. As a result of the software tweaks, the car now has a better electric power steering, hybrid mechanism, and Vehicle Stability Assist.

For the US market, the 2019 NSX has been priced at $157,200 (Php 8.4 million). However, despite being $1,500 more expensive than the current model, it should be taken into account that there are $4,700 worth of features that were presently optional, like the four-way adjustable seats, ELS Studio audio setup, and aluminium pedals. The deliveries will commence from October onwards.
