2020 Nissan Sylphy breaks cover in China
MANILA: The 2020 Nissan Sylphy is here. Introduced by the Japanese automaker in China, the sedan has gone under a lot of hammering and looks nothing like the outgoing model. The changes in the appearance of the new Sylphy are aggressive and provide the sedan with some fresh and alluring looks.
Up front, the curvaceous corners have been ditched and bolstering the sedan are sharp creases and bold character lines. Moreover, Nissan’s trademark V-Motion grille is flanked by a pair of upswept all LED headlamps.
Even when looked at from the sides, the 2020 Nissan Sylphy is impressive thanks to the flared fenders and bold creases, and the black trims on the C-pillars provide the roof with a floating appearance. Taillamps at the rear are of a wrap-around kind and flank a wide trunk.
Moving inside of the 2020 Nissan Sylphy, we are greeted with an extravagant interior. There is a floating infotainment system, luxury saloon-like stitching, and a wide instrument cluster. While the flat bottom steering provides the car with a sporty aspect, the circular air-conditioning vents bring back the retro feel. A perfect blend of modern and old-school elements, right?
The 2020 Nissan Sylphy is said to house a 1.6-litre internal combustion engine, however, the Japanese automaker has not revealed the power and performance figures yet. What Nissan has disclosed though is that the new-gen model will produce more power than the 116 PS made by the outgoing model.
An Xtronic continuously variable transmission will take care of the power delivery to the wheels. The Chinese masses have got another great sedan in their market, and we hope Nissan to provide other markets with their fair share sooner than later.
