2025 MIAS: Suzuki PH to launch next-gen Dzire?

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) is launching a model at the upcoming 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), and it could be the next-generation Dzire. 

Zigwheels Philippines has come to such a speculation since the shadowy silhouette included in the teaser posts matches the shape of the fourth-gen Dzire. For the unaware, the said model was previously launched in India back in 2024. 

Additionally, the vehicle shown on the teaser wears a headlamp that is similar in shape to that of the next-generation sedan. And while the entire picture isn’t clear, it likewise bears a more aggressive and large grille design found on the model’s current version in India. 

For now, SPH itself has not confirmed if this is indeed the Dzire. So, while waiting for its formal introduction at MIAS, let’s check out the specifications of the Indian market Suzuki Dzire. 

Next-gen Suzuki Dzire overseas specs

In India, the latest iteration of the Suzuki Dzire has evolved to become a sharper-looking sedan with plenty of visual improvements. It still keeps a respectable amount of chrome trimmings, but it has a lot of modern styling details that make it more angular-looking and aggressive. 

For reference, here are the dimensions of the India-spec Suzuki Dzire:

Some notable interior features of the next-gen Dzire include a seven-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a voice assistant, over-the-air updates, leather upholstery, an automatic air-conditioner, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and rear air-conditioning vents - among others. 

In the South Asian republic, the Suzuki Dzire is propelled by the 1.2-liter Z12E inline-3 gasoline engine. The said mill is paired with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automated manual transmission. 

At maximum, the said inline-3 can generate up to 80 horsepower and 111 Newton-meters of torque. 

To reiterate, SPH has yet to release any information about the car other than the teaser. So, for now, let’s wait for its launch at MIAS, which is scheduled to kick off from April 10-13 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
