Aston Martin taps Curv Racing Simulators for limited-edition rigs

MANILA: Aston Martin tapped Curv Racing Simulators to produce limited-edition rigs that celebrate the Valkyrie hypercars that will compete in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Dubbed the AMR-C01-R Hypercar Edition, the said simulators are limited to just 24 samples worldwide. 

“The Aston Martin Valkyrie is one of the most extreme and uncompromising Aston Martins ever created, and that character translates naturally into the Curv Racing Simulator Hypercar Edition. Influenced directly by the Le Mans race cars, while retaining the sculptural form and proportion that sit at the heart of Aston Martin design. This is pure excitement and emotion,” Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman was quoted as saying.

AMR-C01-R Hypercar Edition specifications

Outside, the AMR-C01-R Hypercar Edition sim rigs can be had in either #007 or #009 race-inspired liveries.

The claddings of the simulators are finished in Aston Martin Podium Green with contrasting yellow or red accents. As such, the rigs capture the spirit of Aston Martin's Le Mans challengers in a racing simulator designed for collectors and driving enthusiasts. 

Each simulator is hand-built to order in the United Kingdom and features a carbon-fiber monocoque that houses the technology within an elegant, architectural silhouette. 

Developed by Aston Martin high-performance test driver and three-time Le Mans class winner Darren Turner, the simulator mirrors the driving position of the Aston Martin Valkyrie and pairs a curved 49-inch display with NVIDIA RTX graphics.

Further, the AMR-C01-R Hypercar Edition is fitted with an Aston Martin Valkyrie steering wheel, which is built to order and can be personalized with bespoke side and rotary color configurations. 

“When we started developing the Hypercar Edition, the focus was on the driving position, steering feel, and racing experience. Those details are what make a simulator believable. We wanted it to feel as close as possible to sitting in the Valkyrie Hypercar,” Curv Racing Simulators Founder Darren Turner noted.

The AMR-C01-R Hypercar Edition is now available to order, priced at £58,750 (approximately P4.835 million) plus taxes.
