Chery Auto PH to open new outlet in Cebu

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines is set to open a new outlet in Cebu. The said dealership will be established in partnership with Pacific Autoworld Incorporated, which is a part of Borromeo Group of Companies - an experienced automotive business with 26 years of experience. 

Notably, the upcoming Chery Cebu outlet will be United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated’s (UAAGI) fourth brand to have partnered with Pacific Autoworld Incorporated in Cebu. The previous ones include BAIC, Jetour, and Radar. 

The new partnership between UAAGI and Pacific Autoworld Incorporated was formalized through a contract signing between Chery Auto Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt and Pacific Autoworld Incorporated Managing Director Marco Borromeo. 

With the upcoming Chery dealership in Cebu, it is clear that UAAGI is well on its way to expanding its national dealership network.

For starters, UAAGI kicked off June 2026 by announcing plans to establish a new Radar EV (electric vehicle) outlet in Cebu. This was also formalized via the company’s newly established partnership with Pacific Autoworld Incorporated. 

Just a few months ago, the company established a joint Chery-BAIC outlet in Quezon Avenue. This follows BAIC’s new dealership in Davao City, established in partnership with Image Cars Davao Incorporated. 

Chery Auto PH: other updates

Another significant milestone for Chery Auto Philippines was the preview of the all-new QEV at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

The aforementioned is an all-electric hatchback equipped with an electric motor powering its rear wheels. There are no published output figures for its Philippine-spec model for now, but it can cover up to 405 kilometers from a single full charge, according to the New European Driving Cycle. 

Inside, the model comes with a five-seater layout and a 15.6-inch 2.5k Ultra HD infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. This is paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 50-watt wireless smartphone charging pad, and voice command support. 

Other noteworthy amenities available to the Chery QEV include, but are not limited to:

• Ventilated front seats
• Direct current (DC) fast charging
• Level 2 Intelligent Driving Assistance
• Vehicle-to-load functionality

It was not stated when the model will launch, but it will be offered with a starting price of P1.12 million. Reservations for the QEV have also been started by Chery Auto Philippines.
