Batmobile: Nissan unveils UK-exclusive Juke Kiiro

MANILA: Nissan will be offering an exclusive version of the Juke crossover named “Kiiro” to UK customers from the end of February.

As part of the launch of the limited-edition Juke Kiiro, Nissan has announced its promotional partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures to support the debut of the all-new epic film The Batman.

Set to premiere on March 4, The Batman is the most anticipated film of the year. It features Bruce Wayne as The Batman and Selina Kyle as Catwoman. The film is about the journey of The Caped Crusader from revenge to hope. According to Nissan, the Juke Kiiro has the same spirit that embraces a journey of discovery.

This partnership will be promoted in cinemas, on social media, and on billboards across the UK, with Juke visuals alongside iconic “The Batman” film graphics.

This special Juke variant, named after the Japanese word “Kiiro,” which means “yellow,” debuts a contemporary Juke body color called Ceramic Grey, which is offset by the inclusion of bright yellow finishers on the lower section of the front bumper, the base of the doors, and the rear bumper.

The exterior look of the Juke Kiiro is given vitality and a rebellious streak by these bursts of color. Another striking detail is the aluminum finisher on the front valance’s lip. The Juke Kiiro also has a set of glossy black 19-inch wheels.

The seats are wrapped in black fabric with new black and metallic grey syntech leather insets. In addition to the new material, the front and rear seats, as well as the central armrest, center console, front door panels, and dashboard, have yellow stitching. The overall effect harmonizes the interior and exterior design. This special Juke variant is identified by an aluminum plate on the center console.

In a statement, Nissan AMIEO Region Vice President for Product Strategy and Pricing Arnaud Charpentier said, “Since the introduction of the first eye-catching personalization options on the original Juke, we know how much customers appreciate the Juke’s styling, and the way its personality lends itself to playful additions. We wanted to create a special version which looks serious, with added presence and boldness — but that wasn’t somber or boring. I’m confident the Juke Kiiro will be a great success.”

Only 5,000 units of Juke Kiiro will be rolled out across the region, with 500 going to UK customers. Kiiro is the third special variant of the Juke, following Kuro (black) and Shiro (white).

The Juke Kiiro is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 114 ps and 200 Nm of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission.

The NissanConnect infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to mirror their favorite smartphone apps on the eight-inch touchscreen display.

TomTom Maps and Live Traffic are also available. The Juke also has Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa connectivity, allowing for a wide range of commands, including the option for drivers to talk to their smart device and send destinations to the vehicle’s navigation system.
