Bentley to bring EXP 15 concept to Monterey Car Week

MANILA: Bentley will bring its newest concept car — dubbed EXP 15 — to the Monterey Car Week in California. 

Per the British car brand, the new prototype will be showcased at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance at the said car event. 

Bentley EXP 15 concept 

The Bentley EXP 15 concept car is a representation of the marque’s vision of the future and was inspired by its early 20th-century Grand Tourer. The result is a luxurious ride interpreted for modern times. 

At the fore is an iconic upright grille. Here sits an illuminated Bentley emblem as well as a modern interpretation of the brand’s hood ornament. Speaking of the hood, the car has a bonnet and a rearward cabin reminiscent of one of its heritage models.  

To its sides appear to be doors with flush handles and illumination from what seems to be vents on the fenders. It rides on large wheels with eight spokes. 

At the back, the Bentley EXP 15 gets a fastback-like design with C-shaped taillights that hug the hind-side of the concept vehicle. 

Inside, the prototype comes with a T-shaped dashboard, which according to the carmaker, rotates to either display the car’s infotainment screen or hide it under a solid surface when not needed. 

The rear end has luxurious seats and a divider with a control panel for the car’s various features, as well as a mood light. 

Its boot opens up with built-in seating and a bottle holder for when its owners would want to crack a bottle of champagne under the night sky. 

“While not intended for production or indeed sale, EXP 15 also provides hints to the design of future Bentleys, including the brand’s first fully electric car due soon,” Bentley said in a press release. 

Other vehicles on display 

Aside from the Bentley EXP 15 concept, the Crewe-headquartered carmaker will bring other notable nameplates to the Monterey Car Week. 

These include the Continental GT Speed, which will sport a new paint technology at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering; the Bentayga Speed, which will make its first public appearance in the United States; as well as the below heritage models.

In addition, Bentley will auction a one-off surfboard with Bonhams. 

Monterey Car Week 

The Monterey Car Week is scheduled to run from August 8-17, 2025. 

It is an annual 10-day celebration of automotive excellence held in Monterey County, California.
