BGC now a ‘quiet zone’ for motorists from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily

MANILA: Bonifacio Global City (BGC) has announced that it will be implementing a “quiet zone” from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. every day as a friendly reminder to all motorists to practice respect at all times.

Some 20,000 households reside in BGC. In this light, BGC places the welfare of its citizens as its top priority. BGC has agreed to implement specific solutions in response to frequent and reasonable complaints regarding noise pollution caused by two- and four-wheeled vehicles.

Marshals will be stationed across the area to remind motorists about the said protocols. Signs have also been placed throughout BGC to inform residents, employees, and visitors of the policy.

To show BGC’s commitment to this issue, its is coordinating with the City of Taguig and Barangay Fort Bonifacio to restrict the excessive noise that BGCitizens are regularly dealing with.

The BGC community expressed its support and appreciation for the action being done to resolve this issue through comments in BGC’s Facebook post regarding the new policy.
