Brembo celebrates its motorsports victories of 2022

MANILA: With 62 world titles won in the major Racing competitions of 2022 — on two and four wheels — Brembo, a global leader in braking systems, confirms its technological supremacy in Motorsport and continues to set records on every circuit in the world. Brembo has won more than 600 world championships since 1975.

It has been a 2022 full of successes for Brembo From the second consecutive Formula 1 world championship won by Max Verstappen of Oracle Red Bull Racing with Brembo calipers, to the success of Pecco Bagnaia-MotoGP Ducati Lenovo — after 15 years since its last victory — with Brembo braking system and Marchesini wheels, to the WorldSBK championship in which Alvaro Bautista-Aruba in Racing-Ducati with Brembo braking system and Marchesini wheels.

Furthermore, through the Formula E championship in which Brembo supplied braking systems to all the drivers, to the victory of Augusto Fernandez- Red Bull KTM Ajo in Moto2, Izan Guevara-GASGAS Aspar in Moto3 and many other world champions in the motorsport competition venue.

All these riders and drivers have relied on the excellence of Brembo braking systems.

For Brembo, the lengthy history of racing serves as a special testing ground for the newest technological innovations before they are implemented in the creation of street cars. This strategy supports the company's goal of becoming a Solution Provider alongside the most significant automobile and motorbike producers in order to provide cutting-edge, environmentally friendly solutions that enhance the driving experience.

Titles in motorsports that also include significant triumphs attained with the assistance of the Group's brands, like Marchesini and AP Racing, SBS Friction, and J.Juan, firms that Brembo Group purchased between the year 2000 and 2021.

In Formula 1, all of the 22 Grand Prix races in the current season have been won by cars equipped with Brembo components. The Bergamo-based company can boast victories in 485 out of 829 Grand Prix that have taken place since 1975, the year of the debut in Formula 1, until today, for a total of 28 world drivers’ championships and 32 world constructors’ championships won with the top teams.

Brembo’s dominance also continues in MotoGP, to which are added new wins in Moto2, Moto3 and World Superbike (also with Marchesini). Over 500 victories in the premier class (500 class and MotoGP) in which Brembo made its debut in 1995. For the seventh consecutive season, Brembo has supplied all the riders — 31 for this season — who have raced at least one race in MotoGP, relying on the high performance and safety levels guaranteed by Brembo components.

Additionally, 2022 was a successful year for Electric Motorsport. The fourth season in a row that Brembo has served as the exclusive supplier of all 24 FIA Formula E electric Gen 2 single-seaters, as well as the fourth season in a row that the FIM MotoE World Cup and the 18 Ego Corsa of Energica Motor Company have won championships.

For a total of more than 600 world titles won from 1975 up to the present in the various categories, it is important to mention the WEC, GT, IMSA, IndyCar, MX2, Enduro, Trial, Formula 2, Formula 3, WRC, Super Formula, Rally Dakar, and many others in addition to the already mentioned Formula 1, Formula E, MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, and WorldSBK championships.
