Ford PH roundup: 'Robust' Q1 sales, new Ranger launch, 'Click to Chat' service

MANILA: Ford Philippines delivered strong sales in the first quarter of the year, with sales reaching 4,634 units, led by the Ford Ranger and Ford Territory.

Meanwhile, the Ford distributor is set to sustain its momentum with the launches of the next-generation Ford Ranger and next-generation Ford Everest in the second half of the year, alongside new customer service innovations that will enhance the ownership experience.

On a monthly performance, retail sales reached 1,931 units in March, or a 13% increase from March of last year. Leading the month’s sales is the Territory, which posted its best-ever retail sales in March with 904 units, or a 51% increase from a year ago.

With its strong retail performance in the previous quarter and in the previous month, the Territory remained the leader in the small SUV segment, with an average quarterly market share of 54% and a 63% market share in March, Ford Philippines said. 

“With the easing of travel restrictions and increased demand for safe mobility, we are optimistic that we will maintain the momentum in the next quarter together with our Ford dealers nationwide” Ford Philippines Managing Director Mike Breen commented. 

The Territory also reached its 10,000th customer milestone at the end of the first quarter, with sales reaching 10,758 units since its launch in August 2020. Ford’s small SUV first achieved its 5,000th sales milestone in June last year, then celebrated its 8,000th sales milestone in November. 

With its sleek and stylish design, impressive performance, and driver-assist technologies, the Territory has become the new standard for small SUVs, the carmaker boasted.

The growing community of Territory owners has lauded its capabilities and features, which include the panoramic moonroof, 360-Degree Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Information System, 10-inch infotainment system, and Apple CarPlay with wireless connectivity feature and Android Auto Capability.

Ford Philippines has also unveiled a new chat support service to further enhance the customer experience by leveraging on digital technologies to provide real-time assistance.

Click to Chat is a chat support feature available on the Ford Philippines website that will allow customers to communicate with live agents for their sales inquiries and service concerns.

With Click to Chat, Ford is able to expand its customer service platforms and reach more customers, especially those who spend a lot of time online and need support. The chat support feature is accessible on both mobile and desktop.

To access Click to Chat, customers can visit the Ford Philippines website and click “Live Chat” on the right side of the page. They will be requested to key in their name, email address, 11-digital mobile number, and city or province. They will also be asked if they are a current Ford owner, and if their concern is sales or service-related. Finally, customers will need to accept the Privacy Policy statement before they can chat with a customer service agent.

Click to Chat is available to support customers from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. During offline hours and on weekends, customers can click "Leave a Message" located on the right side of the page so they can leave their message. An agent will attend to their inquiry once the agents are back online.
