Ford updates Transit, E-Transit vans with new optional packages

MANILA: Ford has given the Transit and E-Transit — its electric vehicle counterpart — a few upgrades.

Per the American carmaker, the light commercial vehicles receive new packages and accessories.

“The Ford Transit and E-Transit — America’s best-selling gas and electric van brand — are getting new options for 2025 with factory-integrated vocational upfit packages and interior accessory kits,” the Dearborn-based company wrote in a press release.

Factory-installed trade packages, options

According to Ford, the said packages are tailor-made for four leading industries and come with components from Ranger Design, which are listed below:

Electrician trade package

• Drawers, bins for storing parts, reels to hang bundles of wiring
• Priced at $4,370 (approximately P254,792)

HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) trade package

• Large shelves, storage bins
• Refrigerant storage racks, restraints
• Priced at $4,440 (approximately P258,880)

General Contractor package

• Multipurpose shelves, bins, drawers, hooks
• Priced at $2,900 (approximately P169,088)

Foldable Shelving package

• Deep, large-capacity folding shelves for delivery spaces
• Priced at $3,300 (approximately P192,404)

Additional options:

Wall Liner Kit

• Ceiling, wall, door
• Lighting, wheel well covers

Large Grab Handles Kit

• Two-dimensional pillars

Per the Blue Oval brand, offering the aforementioned packages and kits off the factory can help shorten the order-to-delivery process as well as save tradespeople time and money.

In the United States, the Ford Transit van starts from $47,165 (around P2.749 million) while the E-Transit van costs $45,435 (about P2.648 million).
