GAC GM8 bags C! Awards 'Best Mini Van' plum

MANILA: The 2019 GAC GM8 was recognized for the second consecutive year as the “Best Mini Van in 2020” during last year's 16th Annual C! Awards virtual ceremony.

The award is a testimony to the vehicle’s value for money as well as excellent features and performance. 

The award also serves as an affirmation of the dedication of GAC to develop vehicles of premium quality with features that satisfy the driving needs of Filipino customers.

The C! Awards, which is organized by C! Magazine,  is an award-giving ceremony conducted yearly. C! Magazine is one of the first and longest running automotive publications in the Philippines. 

The awarding ceremony was also conducted as the conclusion of  C! editorial team’s one year of testing every model in each category in the market.

The GAC GM8 allows customers to experience authentic luxury, which can be seen on every angle of the vehicle. 

For the price of P2,880,000, it has been deemed more cost-efficient compared to its direct competitors in the minivan category. 

Despite its affordability, the GM8 is fitted with highly innovative and exceptional features. 

The GM8 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged in-line four gasoline engine and it generates a torque of 320Nm and a power output of 199hp. The GM8 also provides comfortable seating for seven passengers. 

Aside from the second-row Ottoman, the vehicle seats fitted with aircraft headrests and back massager for more comfortable and hassle-free long drives.

The interior is equipped with a 10-inch TFT screen, high-quality upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, 32-color LED adjustable ambient lighting, and a 360-degree Serene Sanctuary to guarantee complete accessibility to all of its functions.  

This minivan is well-ventilated and has an air purification system and three-zone automatic air conditioner. 

The infotainment system of the GAC GM8 is features an eight-speaker Harman and Kardon audio system, with hands-free phone system and Bluetooth.

The GM8 also takes pride in child safety locks, airbags, an anti-collision sensor, seatbelt warning, seat belts, stability control system, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), a 180-degree backup camera system, and completely functional parking sensors to guarantee passenger safety.
