GAC PH starts accepting pre-orders for GS4 MAX HEV

MANILA: GAC Motor has widened its stable with the addition of the GS4 Max HEV.

In a statement, GAC Philippines General Manager Calvin Cheng said the introduction of the latest offering allows the company to provide the local market with a “high-value hybrid sport utility vehicle (SUV) that balances practical comfort, reliability, and exceptional efficiency.”

“As we expand our SUV portfolio alongside the Emkoo, GS3 Emzoom, and GS8, the GS4 MAX HEV reinforces our commitment to providing uncompromised mobility solutions designed to elevate everyday life for growing households across the country,” he added.

Carrying a retail price of P1.298 million, the model is currently being offered at an introductory price of P1.218 million.

Vehicle specifications

Powering the GAC GS4 Max HEV is a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle dedicated hybrid engine paired with a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. This powertrain produces:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	232
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	300

Connected to a 2.1-kilowatt-hour nickel-cobalt-manganese battery, the vehicle can cover an overall range of 1,250 kilometers (km). 

The configuration also gives the GAC GS4 Max HEV the following drive modes:

• Pure Electric
• Hybrid
• Direct Engine Drive
• Energy Recuperation

Its exterior sports a clean, confident look, as expressed by the Qilin-inspired front fascia, Qingyun Ladder matrix grille, Morning Star LED headlights, full-width Changhong LED taillights, and flush door handles.

Inside, the model offers a minimalist design complemented by a 2,750-millimeter wheelbase and a 1,901-mm-wide body that provides sufficient leg and shoulder room for passengers in both rows. 

Other amenities that can be found within the cabin are:

• Zero-pressure comfort seats with precision piping and extensive perforation for superior long-distance support
• Whisper-quiet acoustic insulation

Further, the GAC GS4 Max HEV has a safety-cage body structure made up of high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel in critical load-bearing areas, with dual front airbags, front-side airbags, second-row side airbags, and seamless one-piece woven side-curtain airbags.

Its full Level 2 driver-assistance technology suite includes:

• Adaptive cruise control
• Forward collision warning
• Autonomous emergency braking
• Traffic jam assist
• Lane keep assist
• Lane departure warning
• Integrated cruise assist
• Surround-view camera system

With GAC Philippines now accepting reservations for the GS4 Max HEV, the model is being offered at P1.218 million until September 30, representing a P80,000 price cut from its P1.298-million retail price.

Moreover, the model can be had in the following color options:

Exterior	Planet Silver Hoary Grey Crystal White
Interior	Black (with Black ceiling)

Just like the E8, GN8, and GS8, the GAC GS4 Max HEV comes with a five-year or 150,000-km basic warranty, as well as an eight-year or 150,000-km warranty covering the power battery, driving motor, and motor control unit.
