Isuzu takes the new D-MAX LS-A on a camiguin adventure

MANILA: After launching in Metro Manila, Davao, the Visayas, and Mindanao, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) decided to showcase what its Isuzu D-Max LS-A is made of via a lifestyle tour.

The Isuzu D-Max LS-A showed off its power and capability during a Media Test Drive in Camiguin Island. The 2-day road trip sponsored by IPC and participated by car enthusiasts and the media was to test and showcase the “tough-enough-for-anything functionality” of the D-Max LS-A.

During the first day of the tour, participants took a 30-minute drive from the provincial capital of Mambajao to Taguines Lagoon, followed by a sumptuous lunch at the nearby J&A Fishpen Resort and Restaurant. From there, a 40-minute drive to the island’s interior brought the group to the Tres Marias Hill, followed by a short drive on rough roads to reach the Tuasan Falls. Other tourist locations visited were the Lanzones Farm and the infamous Sunken Cemetery. On day two, the group spent the morning on a pristine Sand Bar, reached via a 15-minute speedboat ride on the clear blue Bohol Sea.

IPC President Hajime Koso, in his welcome remarks on the first night of the event, said “The Isuzu D-MAX LS-A with Blue Power Diesel engine is our answer to the clamor of our customers for reliable, hardworking but fuel-efficient vehicles. This represents nearly a century of Isuzu’s experience and innovation in the design, engineering, and workmanship of diesel-powered utility vehicles. The D-MAX LS-A is infused, as well, with features that address the demands of a market that value both hard work and play, business with leisure.”

Isuzu D-Max LS-A aggressive design and powerful 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-liter four-cylinder In-line Blue Power Diesel engine with VGS turbo intercooler were perfect for driving through Camiguin Island’s ever-changing terrain. Moreover, going through even the roughest patch was made comfortable by the bucket seats with adjustable headrest and the 60/40 split cushion second-row seats also with two adjustable headrests and center armrest and auto-climate control air conditioning system.

What is more, D-MAX LS-A specs sheet is packed with safety features like the Dual SRS airbags, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Brake Override System (BOS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Hill Descent Control (HDC) to make every adventure one to remember.
